I can't tell because I have a backup monitor if there is regen in reverse?

I'm pretty sure there is NOT regen in reverse. It's one of the only times I can hear my disc brakes engaged, and I also feel like I read somewhere before that regen is not active in reverse.

I am not a paid stuntdriver, lol .I was not aware of any min. Speed for regen? Any spent energy driving up my driveway for instance should be recouped when I back out...I believe with all the R&D that went into this car they definitely would have included this. It's not a big deal however I still love the Volt and continue to be amazed by it daily, the engineering that went into this car is unbelievable. Thank you GM we are lucky to have the VOLT!

Min speed is 3mph. Below that, it's all disc brakes. The amount of regen that would be captured in Reverse is so minimal that it's not worth the extra effort to implement, IMHO. You're talking a drop in the proverbial bucket of the energy capture potential in Reverse versus all other conditions.

I took reverse up to ten miles per hour and got off the pedals. There was no regenerative action from the drive motor. It's theoretically possible that there is a higher limit, but doubtful. In forward gears it regens down to the 6 mph range.

Did you try using the brake pedal.. I could see it free wheeling but still allowing regen on brakes.
