50K with the 7.5K fed tax credit, only one word... WANT!!!
At 10 years its the most cost effective alternative. Lets see, my Prius costs roughly $1K in just gas for a year. I'm looking at about $300 to $500 over 10 years for just the electricity to charge the Model S.
So, in 10 years the Model S costs roughly 10K to 15K more to have compared to the Prius. So, the 10 year cost of roughly 55K to 60K is well worth it speaking from an economical standpoint when its compared to most cars that cost between 30K and 40K. Do the same math compared to a comparable car, Jag, Benz, BMW, etc... And the savings really stacks up greatly.
