Looking more like a Prius all the time. I wonder where GM got the idea for the see through glass below the Chevy emblem on the trunk? Where have I seen that before?

Personaly I like the styling. There is only so many ways you can create a highly aerodynamic body style. I think they did a good job of differentiating the Volt from the Prius. It's much more modern looking. There's been several cars that have been built over the years using the glass below the hatchback going all the way back to the 70's.

Looks more like a Malibu, or the upcoming Cruiz to me. Nothing is as ugly as the Prius. I like it lots better than the concept they showed months ago. Not that the concept was bad, but this is really nice.

Wonder what the life expectancy of the battery is and the what price of a new power source will be. I had to replace my laptop battery last year, it cost about 1/4 of what the laptop was worth.

What I would like to know.... Are the batteries going to be like regular rechargeable batteries, only able to charge so many times? do you have to let the battery drain completely before recharging so as to not shorten it's life span? also are the contents of the batteries dangerous, like normal batteries... you know if you get battery juice on your skin wash immediately. this is a big one as I'm sure there will be situations where this last question is valid, as DMV will ggive anyone a license these days. and people are always in a hurry to get to nowhere.

Well I read a comment, "what about the battery, and what if it needs changing". I agree batteries cost big money!! but I'm sure GM has also thought of this!! GM will have to use the best in tech to insure a reliable source of energy, or they are going to be once again LOOKING FOR BAILOUTS!!! In the end can you really put a price tag on the ENVIRONMENT?
