Look at the hot styling of the "concept" on the top of this page, and then look at the production model. It's as if GM said, "I don't care that we haven't spent any time on the styling, just shove the guts into whatever we have on the floor." Sorry GM, you MISSED!!!

As a tall guy who likes to wear hats, I wonder what sort of headroom this car will have. The seats look low, and it looks a lot like a Prius which has a fair amount of head room. I, too, liked the concept but this one seems to have more headroom which is a primary concern for me.

Too bad. GM ALMOST manufactured a ground-breaking vehicle. Just slap a Buick emblem on the front "grill" and market it to the elderly.

Look more like a Malibu than anything else to me. That's a good thing. The concept car was nice too, but this is more like what will sell than the original concept.

i think you all must be retarded. its an electric car, it wont get great miles/charge if its not aerodynamic. if you want something with bold big styling thats not aerodynamic why dont you get a Dodge Ram 3500 or a nice H1 Hummer. i hear you can pick one up real cheap now with gas being like $4/gallon. i think your right they really "missed" with this one. what were they thinking? build an electric powered aerodynamic car at a time when gas prices are going through the roof. what did they say this cost $.80 to go 40 miles? lets see what else can go 40 miles for $.80...........oh yeah NOTHING you retards. the car looks hot. it looks like it should look. its clean and aerodynamic. we used to know something about that in this country. until we fell off and let every foreign car company produce these kinds of products until our car companies are almost broke. your right they should just build more hummers. that'll show em!

I prefer the production version to the concept. Yes the concept was emotionally more appealing but it was unrealistic. this is a true car and if I may drive without using gas I shall feel better with a lot of current problems : global warming, oil terrorism, noise pollution, air pollution, etc. This car is worth the loss of a little aesthetic emotion.

This is, first and foremost, the worlds' first mass-produced, rechargable, Lithium Ion PHEV (and oh-by-the-way, it's American.) If we, as a country, get cut-off from our oil imports (for whatever reason; war, politics, hurricanes, earthquakes, whatever) the only people getting to and from work and wherever else their business takes them will be (for the most part) Volt drivers who recharge off of a coal-fired or nuclear-electric grid. All of you spoiled brats out there concerned about appearances who don't pay for your gas (thank you, papi) will get to stay home and lick your little rice rockets until you convert your internal combustion engines to run on CNG or start riding bikes (as in bicycles.) (BTW, have papi get you a Tesla if the Volt isn't good enough for you - they're only $100k.)

Seriously, design matters. There's a visceral component to how Americans respond to cars, and frankly GM missed the target... AGAIN! Coupled with the fact that foreign automakers will have electric vehicles here in no-time, and I'm afraid this is yet another attempt that simply fell well short of the mark.

Looks more like a TL to me. Honestly, could you blame GM for that considering the utter lack of support for American car manufacturers these days? I'd say they shouldn't have to pander to us to buy their cars anyway, in these times if you don't prefer American cars I'd prefer you move to Japan or India! It's time for a little dare I say Nationalism. Our economy begs you on its hands and knees and while it's down you kick it in the face?

The concept was a winner, what they are going to produce is just sad.
