Default MY 2011 Hummer H3 Sleek E-REV

MY 2011 Hummer H3 Sleek E-REV – The Revolution Continues
You may have thought that high gas prices brought the Hummer life style to an end. But the E-REV designed H3 Sleek is the answer. Now you can be both mean and green.

Tom’s EV Design Classics, in cooperation with a group of investors, have purchased the Hummer line from GM.
We will offer a 2011 model of the H3 E-REV.
Base Price: $45,900 vehicle, battery lease $2500/yr for 5 years. The lease pays for itself in reduced/eliminated gas costs.
Hummer Owner’s Green Development Subsidy: A 25% Surcharge on battery lease to support University development of alternative energy.

Specifications:
Curb Weight: 5470 lb (Total: added weight of 2 Volt-like battery packs without ICE)
Motor: 325hp, Torque: 280 lbf ft (Tesla PT1.5. Bigger than H3 3.5L 5 Cycle Engine)
4WD Gearing Efficiency: 94%
Drag Coefficient x Frontal Area: 16.8 ft^2 x 0.7 (30% drag reduction – gives sleek aerodynamics)
A123 Battery Pack: 32kWHr (Two Volt battery packs.) Separate 12V battery for accessories.
ICE/Generator: 57 kW. Max average speed 65 mph.
Extended Range Gas Tank: 12 gal
EEStor Charge Time: 2 hrs.

Performance Analysis/Calculations:
0 – 60mph, 10 sec (much faster than H3).
Motor assisted breaking. Significantly reduces stopping distance with heavy vehicle like H3.
AER: 40 miles on EPA City Driving Cycle (EPA75), same as Volt.
AER: 30 miles on EPA 5 Driving Cycle.
Extender Range: 400 miles on 32kWHr pack max average speed 65 mph. 37 mpg fuel economy with externder.
See the attached performance curve analyses.

See the Hummer-Sleek website for signup list. All inquiries can be directed to this post.

Default .

Awesome. This is absolutely great news. I won't be buying one but someone finally implementing what I have been begging for is hopefully just the tip of the iceberg. The iceberg being the widespread implementation of the E-flex E-REV across multiple platforms.

The cost of the batterys lease seems a bit high to me. I would think cutting that cost would be important. Maybe all electric range of 20 miles would be better.

Still waiting on my full size E-Flex Truck with a 20ish mile all electric range and towing capability.

Umm... You know he's making this stuff up right? There is no Sleek Hummer H3 except in his mind.

Default Sound Engineering Judgment and Analysis ...

All of the information is based on sound engineering judgement and analysis and is factual. But, the small part about me buying the Hummer line from GM may be a slight exaggeration.

I figure it out after I posted. There has been talk of selling the hummer line off to generate some cash and stem the bleeding, so this got me to bite that much quicker.

The battery lease is high. It's the cost of being "first kid on the block." I'll take mine in a full sized van. I can't have my SCUBA gear stolen out of the back of a PU when I stop to eat.
