Very good point you made, the important reason Tesla is going the way they are.. no reason to maintain an expensive auto repair department when you are selling a simple BEV. True BEV will completely change the auto industry.

"One thing that does occur to me, is that Tesla Motors can maintain their own products, because there is no internal combustion engine, whereas, Fisker Automotive would require a much more comprehensive service operation to maintain both their battery electric propulsion and internal combustion systems."
