Dark matter "wrecking ball" may have hit Milky Way:
Link For a long time, astronomers knew that something was perturbing Kuiper Belt objects to fall in towards the sun as comets. They've searched for massive planets that didn't quite reach the critical mass to become stars, calling them brown dwarfs, or something like that. They've even tried to look for lensing distortions indicating a passing black hole. Now they believe an incredibly massive clump of dark matter is the culprit. |
