    Default Volume non-functional.

On vacation using phone, so hard to search forum, but wanted to throw out this question.
On way to airport volume was stuck in one position. Several car restarts did not help. GM dealer days they have no record of this as a known issue. Anyone else had this? Is there a fix?

This happened to me the other day. Actually, what happened is that the volume control would only change the "Audio Cue Volume", and the HDD/Radio was stuck at a low volume. I just 'rebooted' (shut-down and re-started) at a red light, and it all worked fine after that. Bummer that a re-start didn't fix if for you, but let us know what you find out. If it were me, I might try going into to the configuration, and 'reset to factory settings'. You can do this from the touch-screen.

There have been a couple instanced of the Audio Cue being in 'control'. You can go to that specific config option and change it's volume level then hit the lower left (I think) "test volume" button. That will reset the issue. This doesn't sound like what happen to in the OPs case tho.

Returned from vacation and fired up the Volt.....volume was again adjustable....but...noticed instantly that the Audio Cue had gone back to the very loud default! Stupid overly loud boot up sound on Volt start nearly blew out my ear drums. ;-)
So the issue does in fact seem to relate to Audio Cue somehow. But I don't know if that above suggestion to alter Audio Cue would/will reset the issue should it occur again in the future.
