Very harsh review on the Nissan LEAF:

hardly a review! Sounds like somebody who bought that car underestimating his driving needs and blaming the car for underdelivering..... But thats what happens when you make false publicity, and Nissan will suffer from all this. Could make GM look like genius in the eyes of the already converted minds, but, not very constructive for the ev industries and future.
Wow. He would have been happier with a Volt. I have achieved 55 miles on a charge (not likely to happen this winter though).
"It makes me feel like a jackass," he wrote in a recent column. The car simply doesn't live up to its promises, Eshman said.
"According to every ad and brochure Nissan put out, the Leaf gets 100 miles per charge ... [but] after driving this car for five months, I can tell you I have yet to get 100 miles per charge. The last three times I measured, it was 55, 58 and 58," he said."
I do agree with some posters that it looks like he just read the marketing hype and not the small print. Then again, Nissan is still pushing that 100 mile range like it is real.

VOLT TIPS & SECRETS
If he got a Volt he'd probably only be getting 30 mile range and bitching about that. Must be driving like a maniac. Either that or he doesn't read Leaf forums and he's panicking when hitting the "low battery" warning and not realizing he has another 10-12 miles before he hits true "turtle mode".
That said, Nissan probably does over-use the "100 mile **" thing in their advertising. Better to advertise 70 miles and have many get over, than to advertise 100 that almost no-one can achieve. Plus they should probably license GM's range estimation algorithms and improve their "guess-o-meter" that all the Leaf owners complain about.
this guy is jewish and didn't read the small print? somethings fishy!!

I hope he doesn't buy a Volt. Let him be Nissan's problem!
Smells like a notorious complainer to me.
Nissan should indeed tone down the 100 miles range. Someone, somewhere will sue them for that. There are just not enough Leafs on the streets yet to make the legal action a profitable one.

Volt #947 Delivered on 2/25/11 -- Sold!
240V Blink Installed 10/28/11 -- Returned!
This is why chevy went with 25-50 instead of the initial 40mpc number. Another smart decision for Chevy me thinks.
