Default Does MyLink equal NO NAV?

Just about ready to put a deposit on a 2012. My dealer (Toronto area) has a few allotments left for 2012 model year so i'm planning on going in this week even though i don't need the car until April 1.

Been reading up on Mylink in the brochure and websites. It seems like MyLink will not be offered with Navigation. Seems like an either or choice to me at this point. Of course details are sketchy and dealer has no answers. I have seen a few people here suggest that Feb 2012 is the build date for Volts with MyLink. I have until March 31 before my current lease expires so I suppose it would be possible for me to get MyLink added to the order at a later date. This dealer seems very flexible - said I could change my mind on colors/options so long as the order hasn't been sent to production.

It's my understanding also that MyLink will only work with the base radio (whenever it gets around to working at all :- ). It's not available with the navigation upgrade.

I probably won't end up waiting for it then. Kia Hyundai and others all have the same issue with these new 'smart' infotainment systems - no nav. Toyota has figured it with engine on the new Camry's allowing nav and smart radio to co exist. Grrr

I think that the plan is to have the nav come through your smartphone, instead of being built into the car. I remember reading something about it being added as an app at a later date.

I went with the nav and built in hard disk.
