Rezzie, these types of post are completely uncalled for. Everyone appreciated tips from other users. I think Fred was actually trying to be helpful to those reading your thread and to those wanting a more detailed description. This was talked about at length and it was harder that most people thought it was. I think it is in the FAQ now (my sig; find headrest). To others, also note the "similar theads" at the bottom of a thread list. It shows ... will similar thread. Sometimes those have different perspectives on whatever the topic is.

These offensive posts should be removed. There is no place on this forum for rudeness.

It helps define the character and nature of the person who made them, so that other readers might have an appropriate context. If posts of this timbre become a particular hallmark I would think more stronger actions then public censure would be in order...

    Default Yes you can...

I find that I need to have my drivers seat almost all the way back to fit comfortably in my Volt. When I need to fold the rear seat flat to carry bulky items... the rear set headrest prevents me from sliding the driver's seat back into a comfortable position.

SO you need to remove the rear seat headrest. This CAN be done. The button on the left headrest post is easy to spot. Just press it and the headrest goes up and down as expected. But there is also a less visible button on the right headrest post. It is recessed slightly. I find that a screwdriver helps to press it in. To remove the headrest press BOTH buttons simultaneously and the headrest will lift all the way out.

    Default Press both buttons.

Press BOTH the buttons at the base of the support columns. A screwdriver makes it easier to press the right hand post button.

    Fulgerite @ #15

Very informative. I have the same issue with getting the seat back far enough with the back seats folded down. Thank you

PDNFTT is my advice every time. Ignore him and he'll go away on his own soon enough. They all do, sooner or later.
