Jeff will have a full story tomorrow. I would also like to see what the Canada numbers are as well. We have been asked not to discuss Volt sales numbers until his story is published.
Sorry, I did not get the memo!
I see this was mentioned in the main story for today and just got to that now. I changed the topic of my post to make amends.

Let's forget about the "Don't Talk Sales" issue. To begin with, we can't read Jeff's mind, so it's possible, in fact likely, that what we start here ends up at a later point there. Also the general discussion page and the forums are managed separately and there is some but not a ton of cross posting. So feel free to have at it on any topic you like (Volt related of course).
As a FYI there is another existing thread about this month's sales numbers. If interested I'm sure Jeff's report tomorrow will have some interesting stuff.
yeah - regen. That's the ticket.
In terms of regen, I have to think the Volt would be fantastic in San Francisco. Torque of the Electric motor to help up the hills without converting as much fuel to heat - and then 50% descent regen in L. Then, use the gas engine to get you home somewhere 60+ miles away because living in San Francisco is incredibly expensive :-)
This is similar in the Seattle area. No place I travel is flat, there is alot of elevation change and I can capture alot of regen. I never have more than 0KWH used in my first 2 miles from home. Of course coming home is another story...
I do see enough big hills that I find myself second guessing how many watt hours I'm going to run the meter backwards when I'm descending one.
