Volt Compatible Gloves

My wife reports that her ISOTONER Spandex Thinsulate Lined Gloves (style 24847) work with the dash touch controls. There have been posts about the need for gloves with special, conductive finger tips. That may be true, but these gloves will also work.

I just use some pretty ordinary leather driving gloves. They happen to be unlined, but they're otherwise nothing special (though they are pretty thin, and not the sort of gloves I would use in real winter country during the cold months). They work great, though, with the Volt's touch screen.

As a cyclist, I'm going to give these a try and let you know how they work. They're a little more at $35 than the JC Penny gloves above which are $25-$30. I like that these cut off at the wrist instead of the long cuffs.

I have some Agloves that were a present last year for use with my Droid/iPhone in the Chicagoland winter. They contain conductive threads (made with silver?) to make capacitive touch screens work. The other option is to buy some capacitive (metal) thread and sew your own capacitive touch pads onto whatever gloves you may have. The thread is pricey, but you don't need much to make it work. A google search returns MANY results, including this helpful one from instructables.

I suspect all of these would work well with the Volt touch screens.
