    Lightbulb Petrol induced depression....

So, I was just balancing the ole check book and came across a couple charges. Ten days ago, a charge for 50 dollars for gas, then today.... 60 dollars for gas. Both for my gas guzzler of a car (Infiniti G35 coupe) and both charges were NOT even premium. If I put in premium (like Im supposed to) its more like 70 dollars. So, in 10 days, I could have spent 140 dollars on gas. Ten friggin days.... lets do some more math... lets take 20 more days in an average month and there we have 420 on gas alone...

Please.... please oh please GM, please finish my Volt soon so I can pull myself out of this petrol induced depression.

I UNDERSTAND your pain! Before my Volt I was spending $300/month on gas in my Silverado. I filled up my Volt this past week. $29 and that was after 4 weeks.

You guys are light weights!!!! Come up north to Canada and see the price of our gas. I drive 45,000 km (that is roughly 28,000 miles) a year. My average monthly gas bill over the last 12 months is $700! I get my volt on Tuesday and I can already hear the gas companies crying!

I have had my Volt since April 2nd and have put on 7200 miles and have used a total on 48 gallons of gas. Much better than the Infiniti G35 I traded in for the Volt. I feel you pain but it will come to an end soon! Another positive with the Volt is that I am no longer standing outside my car to fill it up with the gas which will be even more of a benefit in the winter.

LoL, we are all birds of a feather when it comes to our own personal OPEC woes...

This response is more near and dear to my heart on two levels.... One... a past G35 owner! I gotta admit, saying goodbye to my beloved G is bitter sweet. But... in terms of dollars and the environment, sorry G, you're getting replaced with a V. Two, that comment about the winter. I look forward to not having to spend as much time out in the cold pumping gas like the other lemmings.

There is also another side to this story, and thats putting gas in the wifes car.... Jeep Liberty.... two gas pits. The only not so gas hoggish vehicle I have is my GSX-R 600. You better believe I ride that as much as humanly possible.

    @ Brandon,

Unless you have a long ride (over 50mi) try a Zero DS electric cycle. I've had mine for over a year and like it a bunch :-)

Since I've had my Volt, I've burned more fuel in my radio controlled truck than in my full size car Granted, the R/C vehicle does a much faster 0-60 mph that the Volt, but a 25$/gallon, the fuel for that little racer gets expensive. For those interested, it's a Traxxas Jato 3.3.

I had to borrow my Dad's truck for some jobs around the house this weekend. I am reasonably certain I burned more gas in the past two days than in the past 2 months in my Volt.

Oh I love my gixxers too much to switch. Been riding them for quite some time now. They are my "go fast" fix. However, I do have some news for you, I highjacked the train your volt WAS on in Nebraska, thanks! LoL, jk. Was looking at your sig and had to poke some fun.
