    Unhappy Alarm after Charging.

Yesterday morning I got up and checked my Volt using RemoteLink to make sure that that the car was fully charged before heading off to work. It was not quite done at 99%. So I continued with my morning routine. In the middle of eating breakfast the horn on the Volt started honking, first with about 4 short beeps and them with about 30 seconds of honking with the turn, parking and charge status indicator all blinking. I unplugged the car but it continued and then automatically stopped. I thought is was done and went back to my breakfast. I made it to the garage door when the whole sequence started again. I checked the DIC and there were no messages. The honking stopped. I waited for about a minute. I went back in the house, sat down, and the honking started again. This time I powered the Volt up and the honking stopped immediately. I shut down and it hasn’t happen again. A call to my VA and she had no idea what would cause this. The Customer Service was of no help. I came home late last night so the Volt didn’t get a full charge. This morning I just unplugged the car and went to work. I think that the problem happened when the charge was complete. The action of the car was that it was unplugged and set off the alarm. This should only happen if the doors were locked but they weren’t.

I will try again Saturday morning to see if it happens again. If it does I’m off to the dealer.

Did you have the end charge by time set?

I have wondered what would happen if the charge could not complete by that time and it was still connected.

The aliens must have left as it hasn't happen again.
