Any idea when we will be able to places 2012 volt orders with MYLINK?

All the stars have aligned, and I am ready to place an order... except for MYLINK. Since I listen to audiobooks from my phone, the ability to have A2DP Bluetooth profiles (that come with MYLINK) is a must.

Checking to see if anyone has had any new regarding this? I would like to have this purchase completed by the end of this year is possible.

I have contacted a volt adviser on this, but no reply yet.

I was at the dealer today and there still isn't an update on Mylink.

The last I heard, as of September 1, 2011, you can place your order for MyLink in the GM system, but they do not think it will be available until late spring of 2012.

When I heard that, I changed my order to the Bose Radio with Navigation.

I was kind of bummed out too.............

Could you take delivery of a 2012 Volt with the base radio and have the software upgraded with MyLink when it's available?

I don't believe that this would be possible.

My understanding is that it's both software and hardware modifications. I've heard (although I can't recall from whom at the moment) that an after delivery-upgrade path is not currently being considered.

I've given up on waiting for the Mylink. I'm going to order next week with just the base radio.

WOW. If you follow the few times I've posted in gm-volt forums - it's b/c I've been waiting for the 2012 version with keyless entry and MyLink. Today I went to the dealer to buy Volt figuring all should be set. Well the keyless entry is there, not as elegant of a solution as my Prius in that you have to push the button to unlock Volt vs. just grab and open the handle in the Prius, BUT MyLink is not available. I then asked if it could be upgraded to MyLink later; they're researching that for me.

But if what I'm reading is true....I guess I'm just waiting until 2013!

Waiting and waiting...

Maybe I'll just get the Lexus HS250h which is what I've been looking at too....(not really serious, but I it's a close call for me).

One of my local dealers had one with what I wanted except Mylink. I went ahead and purchased. If would be great if it could be upgraded later, but I doubt it.

To get A2DP I will use a blackberry mobile gateway that I purchased. Will let you know how that works.

What does work good so far is passthough bluetooth commands to the phone. I didn't expect this to work as good as it does. This allows my phone voice dialing and other phone commands to work.
