Is anyone getting anything under MSRP?
Is anyone getting anything under MSRP?
I did see a few of 2012 Volts on cars.com less than $40K. I am not sure if those are demos or not. They looks to be right at MSRP.
I would be very interested in this information, as a main talking point for those giddy about the "demise of the Volt" is the fact that there are so many cars listed for sale on sites like cars.com. Normally on a "dud" car coming off a model year, there should be a 10-15% discount, meaning that there should be 2011 Volts listed at in the mid-$30Ks. I have not seen any less than $39K.
I did but only because the dealer mixed up what car was sold and which one was available - knocked off some on the price after my persistence. At this point it is probably difficult as dealers have been having folks fly in from out of town to get a car (and pay MSRP). But try - dealers can sell a car at any price they want!
Last month I paid $3000 under MSRP for a 2011 here in Northern California.![]()
