I presume most Volt owner are giving lots of friends test drives/rides. I have as well. Today was a special test drive. I bought my volt out of state and todayI visited my local dealer (who will eventually service my Volt) to get a "VIN" inspection. Any CO dealer can do the paperwork, but I figured I'd swing by "my dealer" and get it, hoping they would do it for free (they did). To my surprise the head of the service department had never seen a Volt. He said it looked much better in person and said their dealer demo won't arrive for a month. So I offered to let him take a test drive. Kind of fun so hear a regular gear head saying things like wow this is smooth and I heard it had unbelievable torque, now I believe it. The volt-trained staff was not in yet (it was well before 9) and rest of the service staff had never seen or heard a volt. The all gather round as we finished the test drive. One asked if I could turn it back on so he could hear the engine and everyone laughed and razzed him as it was on (it just stopped driving). Probably my most fun "test drive" yet and at least now I'm sure they'll remember me.
Curious if any other out of state buyers gave a hometown dealer their frist test drive and what was their experience. Any other good "test drive" stories?
