VERY cool! Many thanks.
I tried to plug in at a hotel in Palm Springs the only time I ever took the Volt for an overnight trip. As you might imagine, I got the same blank stare. And I even took my 12 ga extension cord, but no joy, alas. We've got a long way to go.
Excellent "change of heart" from Motor Trend. Now they know what a superb vehicle the Volt is.

No Volt or Spark EV yet
See the USA in your Chevrolet, Chevy Volt that is. While the article does go into the Volt's wonderful driving experience it does talk to the fundamental difference between the Volt and all other EVs, and that is the ability to anywhere.
I thought it was a fun read with the family elements threaded into it. Also interesting how far along the new J1772 440V standard is coming along. My understanding is that it's a large plug that fits around the J1772 120/240V plug, making it possible to have standard and DC fast charging outlets in a relatively small space. Having two separate outlets turns out to be awkward for both design and use. Sounds like a pretty nifty design but so far I haven't seen any pics.
