Default My Volt is no longer the only one in my county...saw another one today!

I was excited to see a cyber grey Volt with the large Volt letters on it being driven in front of Central Mall in Port Arthur this evening. It is the first one I have seen on the road and I was happy to see my little Volt is no longer alone on the roadways here in Jefferson County!I was beginning to think no one else was going to buy a Volt in Jefferson County (well a lot of people here make their living working at the local refineries and since you can get by without buying gas for the Volt, it may not be popular because of that fact). Of course, it could just be supply and demand is the reason why I haven't seen any other Volts being driven around here.

At any rate, I felt like a lone unicorn might have felt when it just saw another unicorn..different, special, and no longer alone!! Anyways, I hope I will see more Volts on the road soon because this car is really awesome, beautiful, innovative, timeless, and on and on I could go....I love this Volt so earlier today we paid Sirius XM radio for lifetime XM service for the radio in our Volt.Need I say we are planning on keeping this car for a lifetime???

You may still be the only one with a Volt. Those big letters usually mean it's a demo unit that is not for sale.

    Keep your fingers crossed!

There's only, what, 4000 volts on the road? That's an average density of 1 per 1000 square miles (of course the density in some cities is higher). I'd guess there are less than a dozen Volts in the greater Chicago area. I've never seen one besides mine, though I think ScottF's Volt and mine are probably within 2 miles of each other on any given day.

I also wonder about other Volts. We are located just north of New York City and have had #2209 since April 30th. We have not seen another Volt on the road either in NYC, its northern suburbs (our home turf) or on Long Island. We do, however get lots of thumbs up and rolled down windows, with people calling out "great car...how do you like it?"

In Baltimore County there are at least 2 other Volts, but I have not seen any. I do have friends that say they have seen a few in the DC Metro area. I also get people on the highway waving. When stopped in parking lots its very common to field questions. Its a great car that marks a significant shift in our automotive culture.

I'm happy that my Volt is only one of a few in this area. Owning one won't feel so special once they begin popping up like weeds, and at the moment there is no competition for the few public charging stations that are available.

On a drive from Dallas to San Antonio this past weekend I came across another Volt on the south end of the city. First other one I've see on the road. I couldn't stop smiling the whole time as we drove together till they pulled off later down the road.

Oh man, I missed you. So now I'll have to try lookin on the south side of town. So far I'm the only one downtown every day in San Antonio. And I have not seen another on the road either...went down to the coast and none there or on the road...I know there are at least 4 or 5 here now somewhere.

I saw another Volt here about 2 months ago on a Friday, it was Silver and was just pulling into O'krent flooring near where 1604 and 281 meet, right in front of the Best Buy at the Legacy shopping center. I kind of figured the car belonged to TexRiguez since he has a silver one and as far as I've been able to tell he and I have the only two Volts in San Antonio thus far.

TexRiguez, I saw the other one on the south side of Dallas, not San Antonio. I didn't even go below 1604 since I was just stopping by on my way to Canyon Lake to do some camping.
