    Default "Urgent" Onstar Messages

Am I the only one who thinks it isn't an ugent situation when my Volt completes charging? I have yet to receive any message from the Onstar system regarding my Volt that isn't labeled "urgent". It seems the routine stuff should just be routine. Otherwise, I'm likely to ignore a message that truly requires immediate attention.

I don't get any charging messages. Seems like a pain. But your point is a good one. No reason to be marking every routine message as "Urgent". Great suggestion.

    I agree.
I have these notifications sent to my gmail account which I have priority inbox enabled, which automatically notices the word URGENT in the subject line and therefore marks the email as priority.

Charging interrupted is what I may sometimes consider urgent, in case someone unplugged my Volt.

I have the "forgot to plug in" message set for 5:30am, and to be sent by SMS text message. My phone makes a louder text message noise than email notification. That way hopefully it will wake me up in case I have already fallen asleep.

Ironically, the only time I forgot to plug in the Volt, I let the cell phone's battery die before the reminder message arrived and I was already asleep. I got up in the morning, plugged in the cell phone and got the reminder to plug in message, went to the Volt to discover it unplugged waiting to be charged, charge port door open, also driver's door wide open. Doh! I must have been tired that night. I plugged in the 240v charger in just enough time for it to finish charging by the time I needed to leave a couple of hours later.

Yes, I hate that too! Also the fact that the "charging done" e-mail has several sentences in it. It should be short and sweet - maybe just a nice graphic - and should definately not have the owrkd "URGENT" in it!
