Default Received a call from Hardy Chevrolet

I placed a firm order for a red tint coat/black leather several months ago.Dealer just called and they received their first allocation and were placing the order today after confirming the options with me.They said to expect a call this coming Tuesday with the order number, approximate delivery date and be assigned a Volt advisor.
Really excited and looking forward to wonderful experience.

Congrats! Once you get your order number, the hardest part is resisting the urge to refresh the GMConnects site every five minutes.

Cool. Your dealer seems very much on the ball.

    That's Great!

Being a North Georgian also I am currently playing the waiting game with Bill Holt Chevrolet in Canton. They won't take deposits or orders until they have their cost from GM. Don't know when that will be. Did Hardy happen to mention that they knew their cost? Holt claims that I am on the top of their call list but I am starting to wonder what is going on. Other dealers in the area seem to be going ahead with orders. I wonder what is going on with Holt?

One other question. Do you mind sharing what the terms of the order were at Hardy? How much did they want as a deposit, if anything? I don't feel comfortable leaving a non-refundable deposit when they can't guarentee me a final price. They could turn around and charge me $5000 over MSRP if they wanted to and keep my deposit if I refused. Promises are great, but they don't hold up in court.

    Thanks,

    Dan

First I have been a customer and known the management since they bought the dealership about 27 years ago and have purchased many cars and trucks from them.I did not put down a deposit initially but a few weeks ago traded in a Triblazer SS and have a credit against the Volt.Hardy is the best, fairest and most honest dealer I have ever delt with.Trading in the SS before the Volt was my idea (to take atvantage of high used car prices) and not adequacy from Hardy

Well, I am certainly glad you have had such a great experience. At least I know that some dealers in Georgia can go ahead and order. I just wonder if Hardy has ordered yours without knowing exactly what it is going to cost them. That seems to be the holdup for some other dealers. Let us know how things develop for you. Maybe sometime next year we will run into each other on the road somewhere! Hopefully not literally!

First I have been a customer for over 27 years and have purchased many cars and trucks from Hardy.I was not asked for a deposit back in the spring .I wanted to take advantage of record used car prices and traded in my Trailblazes SS a few weeks back .I have a credit against the Volt.Hardy is the best, most honest dealer I have ever delt with before, during and long after the sale
Three of my adult children and one Grandaughter all drive cars from this dealership
