Default Volt Got Lots of Attention at local car event - Cars & Coffee

Just wanted to share how my weekend went. I have attended our local area Cars and Coffee event for over a year now where I usually bring my modified BMW 335. We have a good group of friends/car enthusiasts that attend this monthly event with common interests. This past Saturday, I decided to bring my new Volt instead. Got some very positive thoughts and questions, including a couple of people that wanted to test drive it. Below is a shot that a local photographer took of the car at the event, along with all the muscle cars, high performance modified cars and some exotics. It got a lot more looks there than most cars, from which there were well over a hundred vehicles.

I was expecting to see a crumpled Volt since your car "was hit" at the event, and not "a hit."

I have taken my Volt to a few of the very large Coffee and Cars Events here in Houston, and the Volt gets a lot of positive attention from really young people, but most of the diehard car enthusiasts keep an arms length away like it was a Prius, or some other respected but disliked competitor.

Ouch, thanks for that catch. I left out "a hit". But decided to change to the new title above.

Actually had a lot of older guys ask about it too. One even had a nicely restored late 60s model corvette there but when I walked up he was talking like the Volt was his to the people around him. When I indicated I was the owner and would be glad to answer any questions he explained he owned one too! Crazy.

I've brought mine to our Cars&Coffee a few times too. It's always a conversation piece.
