Mike, you are fantastic. I really like the new charts.

GM should contract with you to fix MyVolt.com. You obviously have Web development expertise and have made more progress on your site in the past day than GM/OnStar has made on MyVolt.com in over a year.

By the way, did OnStar ever release the new API for OnStar data? I seem to remember that they promised to provide that a couple of months ago.

I've only had my Volt for about 5 days and this is one of the things I was hoping to find! I'm still catching up on this thread (I have registered though) but I was wondering if there was a way to get a little graphic generated with your car stats. I frequent a few other video game related forums and would love to put a banner in my signature with my miles info. I see it done with game stats all the time, so this is just a thought. I was even thinking about making something like this myself, seems like you are almost there though. Have you given any thought to that? Sorry if this has been asked, 24 pages is going to take a while to go through!

    Thanks!

I'm starting to seriously doubt I'll ever get the new API information, I haven't heard anything from them in months and any emails I send go into a black hole.

I've thought about it before, but I need to figure out a way to do it that doesn't suck up my bandwidth (volt stats runs off my cable modem). I could generate the banners and put them on Amazon S3, but that's quite a bit of work so it never gets to the top of my list.

Also, I've contacted the owners of this forum about working together to put volt stats banners in signatures, but they weren't very responsive to the idea. I think they're worried about sending traffic to my site. Ahh well.

tboult, did you like the new graph(s)?

I think "Total Mileage When Gas Used" is much easier for folks to understand the gas miles compared to "CS-Only Mileage" chart that has d the CS/gas miles all the way on the left.

Thanks, but I use Amazon S3 for most of my static content, and it's practically free, so I'm not too worried about that. I do wish I had someplace to actually host the website, but I made the dumb decision of writing it in ASP.NET since I do a lot of .NET programming at work, and Windows servers aren't cheap. I'm currently running it in Apache on Linux using mod_mono, but as traffic picks up I've not been impressed at all with the stability of it - I'm pretty sure the issues some people were seeing a couple weeks ago with being able to view another user's account are mod_mono's fault. I can't prove it, but I restart Apache daily now and haven't heard any reports of the problem since...

    Mike!

You've done a fantastic job. All Volt owners should be grateful to you. I joined up today.

I'm 89 and retired, so not a typical Volt owner. I generally drive less than 40 miles in a day and have only driven a total of 2573 miles in 7 months. For me the VOLT is the ideal car. I keep a log on a Quattro spreadsheet. So far I've used only 4.63 galls (half of what dealer gave me) drivung only 148.3 engine miles. This is 32.03mpg., I attribute the low mpg to the fact that they mostly driven in cold weather, with frequent stops.

I love your stats site! It's just great.

I too have some technical resources I could offer. Maybe the image could be generated and sent to another server for hosting. I'd be happy to help if you have anything you'd like to try.
