Destined to be another forgotten footnote in history. Only thing new I see worth talking about is the Tesla name associated with it. Aside from that..... zzzzzzzzz.

The original RAV4 EV is popular in the EV community with over 700 still in use. There are no other SUV/CUV EVs at this point. Plus, maybe this will spur GM into making a voltec Equinox (fingers crossed).

I just looked up the price of the first gen 2002 RAV4 EV and it was $42,000. I would guess the second gen will be way north of $45k.

I wonder if they'll have a 4x4 version. I can't imagine why I'd ever buy a small SUV (not really any more capacity than a sedan) that wasn't a 4x4, but I guess plenty of people do.

Yeah there is a big gaping hole on the EV side for something like that. Ford's CMAX looks very interesting. And you can get an Equinox, with straight up BEV.

If their pricing was a little better I would jump all over it.

Well, they either aren't using Teslas motor and PEM, or the motor is not a permanent magnet one. Tesla only uses induction motors which have no rare earth magnets.
