Bry, that is exactly what I've been wondering. What do the intelligent,
fiscal conservatives do now? Hell, I'm fiscally conservative and I've
always been a Democrat! Live within your means, plan for a rainy day,
family planning... you know... "common sense". I simply shake my head
as I hear the ditto heads spout their one-line politics.

I voted apolitical, but in truth I have opinions on basically all the issues.

I just consider the "follow the leader just like sheep" left wingers insane, and also the "follow the leader just like sheep" right wingers insane. lol
50-55+ miles spring/summer (no climate control), 45-50 summer (AC on Eco), ~30 winter (heater running)
The electric car will win one day, not because of global warming or enviro-anything, but because it is simply a superior driving and ownership experience. You read it here first.

That's why I chose left-leaning independent. I don't agree with everything the Democrats put out there and I let them know. Write letters, send e-mails, etc. But I help put them in office because, for me, the grass isn't greener on the other side. These days it just seems like 'independent' means being able to think for yourself.

I'm a Democrat and very proud to be one. I'm proud to be part the political party that is the reason that everyone on this blog - Republican and Democrat and everything in between is even driving a damn Volt. If the " fically conservative" republicans had their way, GM wouldn't even exist today, not to mention a million or so jobs that would have gone down along with it. Oh, did I mention that GM also builds military vehicles - mabye they would rather have had China build them for us.

I'm proud to be a part of a political party that helped to give cars like the Volt a reason for being, by raising mileage standards which all carmakers have to meet ( and which Republicans fought tooth and nail against ). I'm proud to be part of a political party which fights for environmental protections, clean water and air standards, clean alternative energy ( not to mention a host of other things that attempt to help people live better and more productive lives ). I'm glad that I'm not part of the "conservative right" which not only fights against ALL of these things, but fights FOR oil companies that pollute our water ( and then apologizes to them for Democrats being so hard on them - the poor oil execs. ) and for fracking which leeches gas into our wells and water systems.

You better believe that we're driving Obamamobiles, and I'm damn proud of it.

    WELL SAID
It amazes me that 50 % or more of the people will believe the continuous stream of lies paid for by the rich and never consider if they make any sense. If the ice is melting it is warming! If you run your car in a closed garage and it will kill you, it will do it outside!! Just takes a little longer!
