I just discovered that IF you have someone plug in the car while you are still in D, the Eb-brake automatically applies (so the car wont move) and will NOT release until you shift to Park. Very cool safety feature.

Funny test. You'd be good in QA. I suspect this is related to those wanting to hook a trailered generator (natural gas, nuclear <grin>, BIG solar panel) of some sort up to the back of the Volt and try to drive the car "while it is charging".

It's been discussed about how the turn signals are computer generated sound effects.. but did you know they make no sound at all if being overridden by the bing-bing sound of the seat belt notification chime? I discovered this one while riding around with a box on the passenger seat... I was quite surprised it didn't just mix the two sounds.
Great tip! To take it one step further, I've started to set the parking brake while stopped at an intersection with a long light (or on a hill) with the car still in "drive." This removes the need to hold my foot on the brake, and when the light changes, I simply press on the accelerator to go.
If you watch the leaves carefully, when the target is slightly off center and the leaves are starting to rotate, that the leaves are 3D and sticking up just a bit off the ball. You can see their outline as a bump as it rotates.
Can you tell that I look at them just maybe a tad too often ;-)

Scrolled through most of this thread and didn't see this or maybe I overlooked it. If you have Siri on your iPhone and it is linked to the Volt, you can press the phone button on the steering wheel and say "Bluetooth" then say "Voice" and Siri comes alive, you can speech to text or ask her to do the normal things she does. Pretty cool!

I may be the last person to know this, but the driver's side window not only has one-touch down, it also has one-touch up. Pretty cool!
