Default Seattle Volt Test Drive pics

Here's a pic of the Volt I test drove in Seattle on March 5.

I got it from 0-60 in a good time.
    Acceleration is great.

I didnt get to test it on the highway though.

It was a fun car to drive.

So do you guys notice any drop in power on electric only mode for over 60mph ?
I was told that electric motor has a drop off in power,
but since I didnt get to test drive on the highway yet, I have no way of verifying that.
It was fine from 0-60mph, in fact it felt quick.

The Volt certainly is not slow from 60 to 80, I can vouch for that. It's quite quick in highway passing.

Not wishing to be the first Volt to get a speeding ticket, I have not (yet) tested 80 to 100. As I understand it, the 100 mph max is accomplished via a governor (and therefore presumably not so much by power loss).

I've never had mine much above 75. It didn't drive any different than any other speed.

Passing a semi on a two lane road in CS mode, started at 65 and was going 85 by the time I cleared the cab. CS mode is slightly faster at high speed than CD, but not much. And it's apparently slightly slower (CD vs CS) at low speed.

Old thread, but I started it, so I will answer my own question.
In my 2013 Volt, there is no drop in power for over 60mph.

I had my Volt averaging 75-80mph on the highway.
I even got it up to 100mph, and felt the limiter kick in. It felt very smooth even at 100mph.

did a little speed acceleration test last weekend. ran constant at 75, then floored the accelerator to 95. upon flooring, I felt just a little acceleration. then about 1/2 sec or so later I could feel the second motor clutch engage and the backup motor then drastically increased the acceleration to 95. it was pretty cool to actually feel the clutch engage and feel the planetary gear differential split the torque. what an amazing car! Still had a lot of battery left so the engine clutch did not engage.
