Do yo guys know about voltstat.net done by a gm-volt.com reader. Its very useful and free. With that I don't have to update my spreadsheet, I just download it (though I do keep one with comments and merge the two.

Great story, Charles! I hope you enjoy every one of the thousands of miles you have ahead of you.

After 9.5 months I have finally exceeded 50 miles on a charge yesterday. I hit a new personal high of 52.1 ! On many occasions I achieved high 40's, or, was predicted to surpass 50 but arrived at location that was shorter than a 50 mile drive.
The morning temp was in the lower to mid 80's and all but 4 miles was interstate travel.

Congrats. Good to see you'e resisted the temptation to get the 50 by wandering around aimlessly on a high-40 day. I actually did it for my first 50+ day, then felt a little guilty for wasting the energy just to satisfy my ego, especially when 2 days later I did it when I really needed the 50+ miles.

    54 miles???

Just got home tonight and noticed my energy use screen showing that the last charge took me 54 miles, with 2 miles left on the battery, huh? I don't even think that's possible. Some sort of glitch? Next time I'll reset the trip meter to varify. Anybody run I to this error?

    A couple possibilities:

[1] You did go 54 miles on one charge, and were very efficient,
[2] You didn't full charge the last time, so you got 54+ miles from a full battery and a partial recharge,
[3] You used "Mountain Mode" which skews things (it uses the gas engine to recharge the battery, and the miles you drive on the battery count as EV).

    Personal Best Charge: 57.2 miles
Best Day: 71.3 miles, no gas (49.9 on full charge, 21.4 on ~4 hours @120V)

I'm certain is was option 2 that gave me the false reading, realized it after my post. Thanks!

One week with our new Volt and got 45 miles today in ECO climate mode and normal suburban driving, including a variety of speeds and up/down hills. It was a loop trip with a number of stops, so no net uphill or downhill. Very impressive.
