Looking for Honest Dealer in San Diego CA

I would appreciate recommendations for an honest dealer in San Diego that will take my order at MSRP. Also, I understand that dealer allocation numbers vary so I would like to place my order at a dealer that can deliver the vehicle in a reasonable amount of time. Some local dealers are taking names for a "preorder" list but that doesn't really give me an idea of when an "actual"order will be made. I understand that I would be in a queue to place an order. I got my Volt from Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet about 2 weeks ago. They were a pleasure to deal with and made everything very easy for me. I would go back to them in an instant.

Thanks tkirschen. Do you have a recommendation for a sales person at that dealer to contact? Also were they willing to sell you the car at MSRP and how long did it take for you to receive it after you placed your order?

Edit: I just checked my email responses from local dealers and Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet said that they are not taking any more Volt orders until later this year because they have presold all of their allocated vehicles.

I had a great experience with Bob Stall in La Mesa (Mike Crown sales guy). When I was out there last week, they had a base black/black no options Volt ON THE LOT for MSRP. I also had good experience pre-sales with Jimmy Johnson and Courtesy. I had very *very* bad experiences with City's sales force (although their service department seemed really nice).

I got mine at Weseloh Chevrolet through Robin Wilson at MSRP. I ordered in August (second on line) and received it two weeks ago. No monkey business.

Thanks to all of you that posted your experiences with San Diego dealers. I am excited to become a Volt owner but I would like to see one before I place an order. I have been calling dealers and they do not have any available to see in person. Is there a Volt owner's club or something like that in San Diego where Volt owners get together to share their experiences with this innovative vehicle?

Not yet...

There's a CAB event Saturday February 5th in the LA area that will definitely attract some Volts. Burbank at 10:00 doesn't excite me, but I may be able to make it up to the CTAC portion around 11:00 (if they're on time). It's probably quicker to get to. That's at 6090 North Irwindale Ave, Irwindale CA.

If you don't mind the 200 mile trip to buy one from Fresno, Hedrick's Chevrolet in Clovis (adjacent to Fresno) has one or two allotments still free as of this morning, which means you can order with confidence at MSRP with your exact choice of options/colors. Might be a few months before it gets here of course.

They just got notified from Chevrolet of two additional allotments, (due to the production increase, I believe) which I think will come up soon.

Jerry, #536, crystal red tintcoat, white accent/dash, took delivery at noon, ran the battery dead giving demos, charging it back up now.
