Smile 1200 to delivery time. Is GM ramping up production speed?

I have finally reached 3000. Can anyone give me an estimate as to how much longer in time I have before I actually receive my Chevrolet Volt in NJ? I am installing my 240 SPX charging station this week! I want my car!

    11/09/2010 - (1102) Order Entered via Web
11/15/2010 - (2000) Order Accepted by GM Dealer used allocation to place order into production
11/16/2010 - (2500) Order Preferenced Order pulled to the production system
11/16/2010 - (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.
    11/30/2010 - (3100) Order available to sequence.
    11/30/2010 - (1102) Order Entered via Web
11/30/2010 - (3300) Order Scheduled for Production Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle
11/30/2010 - (3400) Order Broadcast (Internal Plant Paperwork Order Produced) Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together
12/13/2010 - (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping. (Cadillac, GMC and Buick customers please contact your dealer or customer service for further updates. No further updates available at this time.)
    12/28/2010 - (4000) Vehicle available to ship
12/28/2010 - (4104) Bailment Invoice Created (vehicle is about to leave plant property).
12/28/2010 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by Truck, Rail or transfer to vendor
12/29/2010 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by Truck, Rail or transfer to vendor
12/29/2010 - (4200) Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
12/30/2010 - (4106) Bailment Released (vehicle has left plant property).
12/30/2010 - (4150) Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
12/29/2010 - (4300) Interm transfer; processing transfer to QC or vendor

The time intervals on many of these are quicker now that they have ramped up production.
The sequence from 4200 to 4300 will be repeated if it has to transfer to rail chipment, and then repeat again when transfered to truck for final delivery.

Big Moe, if you haven't already, you should read the "track your order" post below, it has a lot of timing information in it.
    2011 Volt #284, ordered 30-Jul-2010, built 30-Nov-2010, shipped 15-Dec-2010, delivery 22-Dec-2010, www.FirstVoltInGeorgia.com

Mine was 3000 on Friday, I believe and went to 3400 on Tuesday. The dealership called me and gave me a Target Production Week (TPW) of 2/7 so it can be produced between the 7th and 11th of February. From there shipping varies by dealership and he said to expect it no later than the beginning of March. I'm hoping it comes in by the long President's Day weekend since I have to make a 600 or so mile trip to pick it up. =) Hope that helps.

How long it takes to get to your dealer seems to depend greatly on how far your dealer is from Hamtramck. New Jersey? Not so bad. California? It can take awhile. Don't forget to add the 2-xy weeks in Area 51 for Q/A.

Larry, do you folk keep statistics for cars you're tracking for Area 51 time? Longest, shortest, average, mode? That'd be really interesting data to have!
