As of yesterday afternoon, Glendora Chevrolet had a silver Volt in stock. Apparently the ordering customer backed out. The sales manager Mike Roach called me yesterday and asked if I wanted to get a car sooner than the one I have on order. Since my TPW is 1/24 and silver is not my color, I said no thanks. He also mentioned that since it was an in-stock car they were adding a “market adjustment” for the instant gratification factor (my words, not his). Since I was not interested I did not ask how much the mark-up was.
Glendora Chevrolet is the closest Chevy store to where I live, they had an allocation when I ordered, they seem to know the ordering process well, and my order is priced at MSRP. I went with them for the convenience of working with a neighborhood close business. Mike has been great so far, and no complaints.
Disclaimer: I have no affiliation other than that of a customer with Mike or Glendora Chevrolet, and this is not an endorsement of them. I just want to pass the word in case anyone is having trouble getting an allocation.
