    Default Driving in the Rain

I am happy to report that today's drive in the rain was extremely successful. The Volt hugged the road and rear window visibility was excellent. Rain did not drip onto the seat when opening the driver door. The hatch design allows water to be handled perfectly.

Rain water does tend to gather at the wipers end of travel and streak back just a touch. I plan to use Rain-X for better front windshield visibility.

Wiper pause selections work well. They a got a workout today!

    Nice report.

I just replaced all our vehicles with Bosch ones as we need good summer and winter (limited opennings that'll get iced up - http://www.boschautoparts.com/WiperB...ages/Icon.aspx )

I used windshield wiper fluid that has Rain-X in*it and like the results.

Yes, thanks for the useful information! It's not just an incredible new powertrain that's great about the Volt... it's also the LITTLE things that make a superb car, isn't it?

I got caught in a severe thunderstorm and found that wipers on the highest setting just weren't up to the task of removing the torrent of water coming down. I'd like to see a few faster notches of wiper speed. I think it could be done without splashing the water back across the windshield.

Guess I better look into applying some Rain-X...
