I keep hearing about the great service that the volt advisors are providing. Sounds like each person is given a specific advisor. I am currently at 3400 (been so for a week) and still have never received a call from a volt advisor. Is this typical?

I've been at 3400 for 22 days and only heard from a Volt advisor when I called them. I believe we get more and better info on this board then anywhere else. I'm get cranky having not moved to 3800.
If you call, I believe you get a random Volt Advisor. People's experiences with that seem to be that random VAs have random capabilities. Some time after 3800 I got a call from Brittany, who left a specific extension to call back. I've chatted several times with her, and while there have been times I've had to teach her stuff (sent her e-mail on tracking today, which she wants to share with other VAs) she's been great. She's certainly worked hard and diligently to get the information I've wanted.
Are they all that way? Apparently not.
I am waiting for Indian accents next time I call them.

Ignore the user "theBike45" he is a fake, and a oil & gas lobbyist.
My initial experience with a Volt Advisor was back on 10/21 the day after my SD Volt test drive. It was a good one with a woman named April. I spoke with her once more in Nov. when I got my TPW but since then, I have only spoken to random VAs that usually put me on hold to answer any question I had ... but they always found some kind of answer even if they had to call back. So in general the VA is a good thing but not at the Apple level of customer service -those phone bank people really know their products.
Lately, I miss my Volt Advisor April. I have emailed her twice but have not gotten replies. Maybe she is on vacation. When she initially contacted me she said I would have a VA for the duration of my ownership of the car which is pretty cool but I'm a little non-plused right now.
I've dealt with one advisor throughout the process. His name is Kevin. Usually he has initiated the conversation to advise me of status, TPW, and the like. I have emailed him from time to time and he has been responsive. I think he was helpful in breaking the SPX Voltec level 2 stonewall. No complaints. However there hasn't been any conversation within the last couple of weeks when my Volt has seen the most movement. I assume they're very busy with the deliveries taking place now, handling dealer complaints, etc.
The emails have the tagline "A Morley Employee". That's a hint that the Volt Advisor program is outsourced. Most likely here: http://www.morleynet.com/morley-companies-products.html - Note under the Interactive heading the Vehicle Services Processing Center bullet point (non-clickable).
Still no complaints! It's obviously a temporary gig for the rollout of the new car and technology and they'll be doing something else next year. GM didn't have to do it at all.
#639 - I =D~ my car.
I ordered my car on 8/03, and got a phone call that week with little or no information. I went to 3800 on 12/15. and have heard not a word from a Volt Advisor since August. The process seems to be a little spotty...

When my Volt went to 3400 on 12/15, I called the advisor number. Up to that point no one had called me. I asked for the TPW and he looked it up and gave me 1/10/2011. He told me that he would advise the dealer because the TPW had just been released.
He said that I would hear from an advisor in the next few weeks about the charger, but I'm not holding my breath.
Because we reserved a car that was already on order for the dealership, we were not given info on an Advisor. We kept asking. Our salesman did not have a clue on how to find that info out (until recently). We finally found out by calling GM ourselves. It turns out that our Volt advisor is assigned to the dealership so anyone that ordered one of the Hewlett Speck Volts would probably have Norma, however, we talked to another person since Norma was off. IF your car was a speck (sp) car, then GM does not call the dealership back to see if it has been assigned. It is easy to kind of get missed in the shuffle. Cari
Call your Dealership and have them find out your advisor.
