Default First to have a dented Volt

My dealer just called and they have some construction work going on in their shop, and the construction people managed to dent two of my doors. Very disappointed, trying to figure out options...

They've overnighted door panels from the factory, but they'd still need to be painted there. I'm angry that I'm losing two doors worth of a factory finish here. Other option is they take the dents out there. I'm told they're "small" dents, but two doors? Can't be that small. Waiting to have pictures texted to me...

Ugh, you’re kidding, that totally sucks. Paintless dent removal can work very well, but it depends on the size and location. I have to say, I would consider not taking delivery, and getting a new one inserted into production ASAP. Tell them you want their GM Sales Rep involved immediately, regardless of what you decide about the car / dent repair. You can also call the useless Volt Advisor Team, but being useless that’s probably a waste of time.

GM needs to step up. Will they? Magic 8-ball says "future looks cloudy".

Speaking of which, what's their generic phone number again? I've got the number of my assigned advisor, but she's off until tomorrow. And I want some information today...

Yeah, I think mine must have fallen off the truck on the NJ Turnpike!

That's unfortunate. But if it were me, and the damage wasn't significant or extensive, I would ask them if I could take delivery anyway, and bring it back in when the panels were painted and ready to install.

Well panels are already overnighted, they say they have GM advisors there and I'm "on the top of their priority list" given that it's a Volt. I still don't like the idea of new panels though (which would also delay delivery) because they're not factory painted. Given that I asked them to try repair, along with assurances that any premature issues with those door's finishes would be covered, along with compensation.

Hoping GM's customer care impresses on this one to match the car's quality...

One issue is I'm 250 miles away. I would like to only do new panels if needed to keep the factory paint on there. The dents are fairly small, maybe about the size of a dime or nickel, but I don't know what's needed to fix it.
