Volt Available Nationwide In Early 2011???

Anyone else notice in the Chevrolet Volt Recognition Event the President of GM stated that the car would be nationwide in early 2011 and not just in the the initial states? Did he just completely lie or does anyone think this is going to happen? I am going to place my order for a car in New York but if the car will be available in Iowa early next year, is it worth the time and money to go out of state to get the car 2 months early?

In the video below he says by early next year they will be shipping volts thoughout the country at the 43:53 mark. I guess I may have misunderstood this to be nationwide. At least I feel safe ordering from NY now. Thanks!

My strategy is to wait anyway. I am no longer an 'early adopter' type. I plan to approach my dealer sometime next spring when they hopefully will have a demo. No demo, no order.

Nationwide could mean CA to NY ....... Well , they do have them heading to CA, and they do have them heading to NY in 2011.

Cheifsfan, I think what he means by 'early next year' is 2012. This may be calendar year 2010, but it is production year 2011 for all auto mfgs.
