The National Geographic Channel had a "Ultimate Factories" special on the first assembled pre-production Volts, but they were for GM testing. I wish that NG would do a follow-up on tjhe full production line next month, and have the new show on their channel by December. They did have an excellent showing of the Corvette line a few days ago. Just use Yahoo TV or Titan TV to check for next showings.

Just heard from Jeffery. I have deleted his email address and cell phone number....sorry.

    Here is what he said:

    ---------------------------------------------------
Your Volt is now in the Paint Shop, it is not unusual to spend several days in the paint shop.

    Congrats!
I am now at 3000, I'm not sure what the delivery date is.

    Hey Jerry,

My advisor said that the VIN number is assigned in pieces as the vehicle moves down the assembly line. For example, she said that if I'm about halfway through assembly, then about half my VIN number has been generated. Going forward, she said she'll be able to use that as a metric to guage where my Volt is in the production process, when it starts being produced.

    Hope this helps.

That is some great feedback. We will get this all figured out one piece at a time.
