    Default Welcome

This forum is the place for the 15 Chevrolet Volt consumer advisory board members to come and share their thoughts, observations, and experiences with each other and the rest of the GM-Volt.com community.

I am currently waiting for delivery of my car expected on or about 10/25.

I am so confused. What happened to my other post? The entire thread seems to have disappeared. Is this buggy due to the upgrade or whim of an administrator?

My post had ALREADY been edited, but now it is deleted entirely, and it wasn't negative. What in the world?

My apologies Colin. Unfortunately due to an error the thread was accidentally deleted. Fortunately it hadn't gotten too long. It won't happen again, actually its the first time in the nearly 4 years this site's been running that it ever did happen.

If anyone hasn't, be sure to check out CAB member Eric Rotbard's great post on the mainpage:

Everyone, of course, CAB member or otherwise is always welcome to do a guest post on the front page. Just PM me.

    Lyle,

Thanks for setting up this thread. I am also a Chevy Volt Advisory Board Member and look forward to getting my Volt from GM during the week of Oct 25th. Coincidentally, I just had solar panels installed on my roof two days ago and I look forward to charging my Volt using the sun, rather than fossil fuels.

That is great news Robert!... being able to fill up your Volt on sunshine is definitely the way to go. Would love to see some photos of the system if you want to share.

Is it producing as you expected it would?

Have any of you CAB folks gotten your home charging equipment installed yet? When you do, it would be great to hear about the experience.

I am supposed to have my 240V Voltec charger installed in my garage tomorrow morning. I think most of the CAB is scheduled for this week. We're supposed to get our cars as early as next Monday AM!

My charger is scheduled to be installed on Wed. My fuse box is in the basement as far as possible from the garage, so it will be a bit of a challenge.

It has only been up and running for two days so difficult to extrapolate on such a small sampling. If I assume the first two days performance continues, the system would be producing significantly more than expected. I need to see a few months of data before coming to any real conclusions.
