    Default whats my chance

hi all, new to site. placed an order for volt on 9-10 2010, wondering what my chances are of getting the volt this year. also i recieved a call from someone at GM who thanked me for placing an order and asked if ihad any questions at this time and said an adviser would be in touch with me at a later date. is this routine that someone gets in touch with you a week after ordering?

It is all about who\where you ordered from. We might be able to give you a better answer if we knew what city you placed your order in.

    go here:
    http://www.chevrolet.com/ordertracking/

    read this:

    and follow this thread:

    bottom line:
your chances depend on whether you are in the initial markets, and your order is within your dealer's initial allocation.

The phone call is normal, we all got it a few days after placing our orders.

Regarding actually receiving the car, what matters is what number in line you are at your dealer, and how much allocation that dealer thinks he's going to get. The rumor is that next week they will all know their allocations for sure. So that will determine when in the Dec10-Jun11 timeframe you'll get your car, or later if you are further back in line at your dealer.

If you live in (or more accurately ordered from a dealer within):
    California
    NYC proper
    Washington DC
    Austin TX

(these are designated as "early priority" of the initial market areas)

    AND

you have ordered the base interior with white center stack (apparently there may be some early supply issues with the dark center stack)

The chances of taking delivery in 2010 are quite good
Otherwise you are probably looking at the New Year thru end of Q1 (March 31)

The issue with the dark center stack was somewhat debunked here last week, by Chevy. We'll see what actually happens, but I'm hoping my AFF package (neutral seats, dark console) won't be delayed.

If you read Angie's message its all in the interpretation. Being a couple months aways from initial production there's still hope that supply wont be an issue.
    We shall soon see.

I apologize; I realize that my post on this may not have been that clear. The Jet Black Seats/Dark Accents Interior (AFI) is the option that may experience a delay. Again though, we are working to have it available at start of production or shortly thereafter.

    Thanks,
