My Volt is really moving along now! It went from 4300 to 4200. I called my VA and got the CSX car number. It passed through Cleveland last night. 27 days from placing the order to shipping. The VA told me 11 to 17 days total to ship the car to the dealer.

02/21/2012 (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
03/19/2012 (4200) Shipped (vehicle is shipped to the dealer or interim point of delivery).

GMConnects.com loads, but the site fails when I submit the request. Ah well. I'll try later.

OK, I'll admit it. I'm like a kid waiting for Santa.

    < http://www.chevrolet.com/ownership/o...er.extapp.html > give me this:

    And GMConnects.com gives me this:

This isn't nearly as much fun as earlier purchasers had when *camarotracking.com* was available.

Over here in Canada, we do not have the level of visibility you guys get in US on your Volt order process.

I was called yesterday by my Volt advisor that the TPW set for Nov. 26 was met. OK good. She also said that as of today (Dec. 06) the order is 30% complete and she is not going to get a new update before 2 weeks!?!.

From my previous reading on this forum, I thought that the car was produced within a week! From the information I got, seems that it is going to take 3 weeks to build the car.

Does anyone have the same experience?

Hey all, so today I received my rail number and upon calling the number for CSX and ONLY using the voice computer system (I have read NOT to speak to a live agent so I am aware of that no-no) found my car has left New Boston today at 1:07 PM!!

I'm so excited to know the car is on the journey to me. I bought the car right after it was finished being built since it had everything I wanted in it, was the right color etc but I did not order it. So I don't have an order number to track it on the other websites, etc. And I unfortunately do not have my dealer number so eventually I don't think I can track it via Cassen's site if in fact that is how it gets from Newark, NJ to the dealership in NJ.

Anyways, my real question is does anyone know who may have bought in NJ how long it can take to get to the dealership now that is has left New Boston, assuming it's a smooth unload and pickup to be sent to the dealership? Thanks in advance for any info

Edit: Well upon read and reading more of the site I found one of ChrisC's many great posts mentioning East Coast deliveries can take on average 4-5 days. Then about a day or two traveling to the dealership and one day prep at the dealership. So all that being said, I'm crossing my fingers to pick up my car next Thursday or Friday! Wish me luck!!!!
