Newbie from FL

Hi, all, I'm from Florida, and I'm thinking about getting a Volt. Gas prices are keeping me up at night, and I don't want to get caught with my pants down, so to speak, when the economy recovers and gas goes to $4-5 a gallon, maybe more.

I'll keep an eye on the site when I have some legit questions.

We've got a few people from Florida here who are buying in the first wave, however they are having to go to one of the launch markets (e.g. up I-95 all the way to Washington DC to buy one). It's probably too late to get one in the 2011 production run.

Gas price shock paranoia is good motivator, being one of mine too.

Eh, it'll probably be okay by me, give 'em a year to work out any problems. Isn't the E85- compatible version supposed to be out in a year, anyways?

I kinda know what I want- Viridian Joule Tintcoat, parking assist, polished wheels, cloth seats (because leather + heat + sweat = stickyness). I'm leaning towards the Blink L2 wall mount charger because of the touch-screen interface. Is it okay to mount that one outside, though? I ask because I'm not sure if the touch-screen interface is waterproof.
