Default Air pockets in heater core?

Our Volt stopped putting out heat, so we took it to the dealer who replaced the "aux heater coolant pump". Everything is working fine except we noticed a gurgling sound when the fan first starts up (or when turning). After taking it back they said there was air in the heater core and attempted to bleed it but couldn't fully bleed it out since the "battery mode turns off when the hood is open". They returned the car with no real change and said to continue to drive it and the problem will go away on its own as the coolant circulates and draws out all the air pockets. I'm wondering if I'm being sold a bill of goods and if so, how best to push this?

What're are my options for pursuing this?

I had battery section replaced and encountered same sounds. Almost like a toilet flushing while charging.
As expected, it is just air pockets working their way out. It stopped after several days then the dealer topped the coolant back up to proper level and all is quiet since.

It will be fine. They should have ran the heat for awhil and let it circulate then topped off. That's what I did when I replaced mine.

Just remember at some point the reservoir will need to be topped off once the air works its way out.
