Default Schneider Level 12E Charger at Home Depot $699

This was posted in a website called Slickdeals and I thought some of you may be interested ------

Schneider Level 2 EV Charger, $699 at Home Depot
Probably not many EV'ers here but I thought I would post anyway.

I have been checking prices on one for inside my garage. I didn't want to spend $1000 for a GE or AE and I wanted more then the 18amps on the voltec for my Miata conversion. Anyway and noticed the prices have dropped on these. I checked and reviews look good so far, they are made in the USA and Schneider is a very reputable company. I wish it had more then the 18' chord but it will work fine for my garage.

It would be nice if the warranty was listed. Some EVSE has only a one year warranty. Some have three years.

Not that I know of, Bazinga. I think the Schneider has a 1 year warranty. If so, they are not standing behind their product.

I know that some credit cards will double the warranty on electronics. I wonder if you'd have success claiming the extended warranty on an EVSE?

I did with my Discover card. I was fully reimbursed for my dead-at-13-months Voltec 240V EVSE. I bought a Siemens Versicharge with the same card. It's 3 year warranty is now a 6 year warranty!

    I think it's only 4yrs (though that's still great).
