Default Anyone ever have their Service Airbag light come on with error code B0012?

Anyone else having a problem with their "Service Airbag" light coming on in cold weather? Whenever we get a cold snap (temps lower than 25 F), my service airbag light comes on intermittently. I had Onstar do a diagnostic and they gave me an error code of B0012. I took my Volt to the dealership and when I got there, the light was on and the service rep saw it. But when the mechanic looked at it, the light was not on, so they wouldn't do anything. They told me they would only look for the problem if the light stays on all the time.

The mechanic was able to pull the same error code from the car. The service rep at the dealer said it is a generic error code that doesn't give them anything to go on, but Onstar told me it could mean the driver side airbag system won't deploy in a crash. The service rep at the dealer also said it was nothing to worry about, but I am not sure?

Since the dealer won't help me, I am left with trying to see if anyone else has the problem and give them the info.

    TIA for your comments,
    Paul

I wanted to give a quick update on this. My car is at the dealer currently being serviced for a new steering coil. After the first time I had it in for this problem, GM put out a service bulletin on this problem. Props to Ian and my Volt Advisor (Kimberly) for hooking the GM technicians up with my dealer's Volt mechanic and solving the problem. They had to order the parts (getting them express shipped) so I had to leave the car with them for the night, but it should be all fixed up tomorrow.
