The power to my house went out one night while my 2017 was plugged in and charging on my clipper creek level II charger (in case the brand of charger is relevant). The car proceeded to incessantly beep until I went to the garage and unplugged it. All was fine when the power came back on and I re-plugged it in. Power failures are common here in Florida due to lightning. Is there a setting I can use to turn off this "alarm" during power failures?
You need to familiarize yourself with the config options in the setup of your Volt as well as reading the manual. Of all the cars that require you to read this stuff, it is the Volt.
I think it's the charger cord alarm. You can turn that off in the config menus in the volt. When the power went out, it was as if someone stole your EVSE.
There are two alarms in the menus:
Charge theft alert (LOUD)
Power loss alert (soft repeated chirps)
