Default best sources/prices for touch up paint?

my CPO has a few rock chips, and door edge dings I want to touch up... I've looked online for touch up paint, and holy cow is it expensive

I haven't priced it directly from GM, and my experience with most FLAPS is their paint really never matches correctly.

edit.... should add my car is "Brownstone Metalic"

    Did you try ebay?

They usually have the oem touchup kits at good prices.

the ebay prices are about the same as Amazon, and only slightly cheaper than buying it from the dealership... where can I find the sticker that tells me my paint code(s)? I also see it referred to as "subterranean metallic", which I do find online from non-GM sources.

I just bought some from Amazon for $13 (Summit White), which is very reasonable, are you seeing much higher? On my 2013, the paint code sticker was somewhere on the chassis labels. Can't recall exactly, maybe inside driver door area (for some reason, inside the left hatch pocket door rings a bell, but I can't check right now)?

weird... when I search now, the $13.99 pen in Brownstone shows up... when I was searching yesterday, only the $22-$25 1oz bottles showed.

I have ordered through automotivetouchup multiple times and color matched has been spot on. I did try saving money one time using ebay and color was off enough to bug me

I just purchased some base and clear for my other vehicle from these folks: www.automotivetouchup.com

It was a Perfect match and they have a broad range of container application options including touchup pens. Just remember there is more to modern paints than the color. You will need a Clear coat in addition to Base coat color for best results. I looked at what My Diamond White tri-coat would cost and it was about 2. times the normal Base /clear prices because it has a mid-level layer hence the name tri-coat. ( Base-coat / Mid-coat / Clear-coat)
