    Default Rear door/window clicking

Lately I have been hearing a clicking noise; almost like the sound of the power window motor makes when attempting to roll an already shut window close- a small click- when going over bumps or taking off from a stop.

Anyone else have this issue? I know in a car that sounds can bounce around and be difficult to pinpoint but just wondered if anyone else experienced this before I went to the dealer and have them look at this.

    thanks

I hear the same thing! I thought it may have something to do with the door panel creaking a bit, but it sounds too "perfect" in that it clicks twice each time.

Where are you hearing this on the car? I occasionally hear a click here or there, but can't reproduce on demand. Can you reproduce on demand? If so, then try recording with your phone. There were reports around here about a loose bushing, nut, or something on the axle of some Volts.

It's like I'm trying to roll up the rear drivers side window when it's already closed. It clicks on to roll up and clicks again to stop almost immediately. I'll try to grab a video next time I'm going somewhere.

If it is one of the windows, maybe the travel just needs to be re-calibrated. You do this by pressing and holding the down button, keeping it pressed for a few seconds after it reaches the end of travel stop. Then press and hold the up button, again keeping the button pressed for a few seconds after the window stops.

I've noticed the same problem! As I recall, I did not notice the clicking until a few weeks after installing studded winter tires. My guess is that it's an issue that somehow pertains to cold winter temperatures.

I've noticed the sound while driving, while stopped at traffic lights, and also originating from my right passenger door assembly with the car turned off. The passenger door clicking is only noticeable when I open the door after returning home, after the car has been sitting outside all day the cold. I'd love to get to the bottom of this...

Ours makes the same noise. I tried the reset like stated above, didn't work for us. Very frustrating since it's completely random.

i'll hear the same thing from my windows randomly, can be sitting at a light, 100% silent and hear the click sometimes.

it sounds like the car making sure the windows are 100% of the way up.
