For those of you who haven't seen it yet but there is an online promotion at HomeDepot.com here and at Amazon.com here that is over at the end of month. Be sure to take advantage before prices go back up!

Thanks, Ray. I bought mine for that $849 deal price. I know some where looking for that deal and were seeing the higher price instead.
Mine is installed. Since I already had the 240 line, it was quick.
With the Versicharge's included plug, that was pretty easy. I debated hard wiring it, but easy won out. The hardest thing was finding the $12 outlet (Amazon), as HD does not carry a NEMA 6-50 outlet. By the way, the fins on the Versicharge top corners that glow in the dark while the unit charges are cool.
Thanks for letting everyone know about the deal, and for supporting GM-Volt.

One of our members wanted to know where they could find this unit in Canada. Any ideas?

Is this the SG model with ZigBee? Or where can I find those?
These are rated at 7.2KW (30 A), so I wonder if the 2014 Volt will allow for a higher charge rate and lower the charging time. Or, even better, the 2014 Volt will have the newer DC fast charge connection (as promised for the Spark EV). Then some Volt owners here can wire up a bank of large batteries at their homes for an electrical "quickie" (less than one hour for a full charge).

No Volt yet
I have no idea what that is, but if you search Versicharge on Amazon you'll find the model specs.
Besides the 3 year warranty, another reason I got this unit was for "future proofing". If I need to be able to charge at 7.2KW (30 A), this unit can do it. Of course, that overkill for my 2011, but it still works great at the Volts lower draw rate.

The SG model is not out yet nor have official specs been released. Sorry!
Unfortunately the Canadian unit is not available online yet in Canada. I PM'ed the person asking and will help him find one locally up there. If anyone else needs a Canadian unit, let me know!
