What gets me is that it is not a Prius at all anymore. I hate how manufacturers try to make connections like that. If they offered a performance version of the street Prius it might be credible, but as it is the only thing it shares is the name.
That's just like the way NASCAR now runs Toyota camrys and ford fusions which are 4 door vehicles. Stickers and a logo doesn't do it for me. I liked the days when the King drove Mopar, Bobby Allison had a Tbird, and the cars running around the track resembled coupes that you could buy.
In 2009, they filmed a TV show here in Detroit, Motor City Motors. We planned to have the first build be a Big Block Chevy Prius. Considering Toyota was a sponsor of the Discovery channel, the producers suggested we reconsider
It reminded me of my horse shoer's Honda Insight that she ruined not changing the oil for 70k miles. She sold it to some street racers who were going to stuff a v8 into it and make it rwd.
