ELR Frozen DIC Information Disply

Since Labour Day the Driver Efficiency gauge and the Power Indicator gauge have been frozen. I was hoping initially that shutting off the vehicle overnight would reboot everything back to normal but that is not the case. Would a reboot by disconnecting the 12V battery solve this issue or do I need to head to the dealer for them to solve this problem?

Loose 12v battery cables or connections can cause dash freakouts, though I'm not sure this applies to your situation. You can always try the battery disconnect. Otherwise, have the dealer fix it under warranty.

On a Volt I'd think looking at the 12v would be a good first step. On the ELR it's more likely to be CUE. Since you're not likely to be able to fix a problem with CUE, I'd take it to the dealer. Not sure when you got your car, but there are some updates which may not have been applied.

The 12v battery may be failing. These cars have been sitting on lots for a LONGGggg time. I believe there was a CUE update, but, that shouldn't affect the DIC.

With the tittle, I thought this would go somewhere else..... Like a Viagra induced 4 hour..... Incident.

Instead of starting a new thread I figured I would post in my previous one.
I did not unhook my 12V battery but I do have a service appointment for January 7 for them to check this out.
The purpose of this post is to see if any other ELR owners have had issues with the following:

2014 ELR first winter
Temps during the obervation period have ranged between 10C and -10C
EV range is between 15KM - 20KM after a full charge.
Going to and from work the ICE comes on once I hit the 12.3KWh used mark.
When using the L2 charger at home with no EV range left I can get the full charge within 2 hours.
When using the L1 charger at work (12 amp) with no EV range left I get a full charge within 2 hours.

I have talked to my ELR rep and they are trying to figure out what may be causing these issues and will talk with my dealers service manager to let them know what they could try to remedy this problem. One idea the rep had was to reprogram the car.

Any thoughts on this?

There is something direly out of whack in the the Voltec system if it's actually saying you're using 12+ kWh to go 15 km and it's recharging again with a L1 charger in 2 hours (which is probably actually supplying about 2.5kWh, tops) Usage in and usage out sounds in line with each other, but the calibration and metering is totally wrong.
